Science of Watercolor First Friday @ Wonderlab, Bloomington

Science of Watercolor at WonderLab, Bloomington Indiana May 1, 2015FRIDAY, MAY 1st, 2015, 5-8:30pm

Join in an intergenerational exploration of the connections between art and science during First Friday Evening! Meet and talk with Brown County artist Donna Whitsitt as she demonstrates her process of creating watercolor paintings depicting nature and other themes. Then, explore this medium by experimenting with absorption properties of watercolors, creating a magnet to take home, and using a microscope to make a tiny watercolor painting. Watercolor art created by residents of the Bell Trace Senior Living Community will be on display in the WonderLab café, and their watercolor notecards will be for sale in the museum gift store.  A small plate meal, freshly prepared by Bloomingfoods, will be available to purchase on site in the WonderLab café. Free parking spaces can be found in the 4th Street Parking Garage after 6:00 p.m.  This is a Creative Aging Festival event.
